Newborn Beauty

(Almost) four-week-old Penelope stars in her first photo shoot. She is surrounded by the love of her mama, Jennifer, and daddy, Socrates. Both showed such love, even as the little miss decided she was oh-so-very-over the camera.  This little family is beautiful in so many ways!

Mother & Daughter

A few weeks ago, Emerson and her mama, Tracy, sat for a mother/daughter portrait session, just in time for Mother's Day.  Tracy moved back home to Napa to raise her daughter around family, and that, just like these two lovely ladies, is beautiful.

Cousin Connection

In advance of Mother's Day, I offered a special deal on portrait parties, and this lovely group of sisters-in-law and their kiddos decided to take me up on it. These kids are absolutely adorable and thoroughly enjoyed spending time together.

Teachable Moments

My friend, Kacey, is a teacher. In fact, we met during our teaching program.  We became, as Anne of Green Gables likes to say, "bosom friends."  Over the years, we have shared teaching tips and became first time moms within a year of each other. I'm thrilled that Kacey wanted me to photograph her adorable family.

Parenting Frame of Mind

Good friends asked if I would do the honor or taking their pregnancy announcement photo.  They have shared the news with their friends and family, and now I can share it here, as well.  I am so excited for this lovely couple, and I also had fun trying out a new kind of portrait.

Spirited Sisters

When younger sister Jocelyn wanted to get away, big sis Alison insisted, "But I have a little sister!" Alison wanted to make sure her sister had a place in the photos!

Mom and Dad got involved, too.

It was a blast hanging out with this family, and maybe someday soon my little guy will get to play with these spirited little girls.

From Silent to Silly

I remember very well when Miss Mia wouldn't speak to anyone outside of her family (or maybe it was just me). Now, she and big brother Zachary, along with their fabulous parents and sweet tempered dog, Olive, are full of life, adventure, and lots of stories.
